EU WINTER SCHOOL DECEMBER 2025

Call for Applications: EU WINTER SCHOOL 2025

"FinTech and the Digital Economy — Blockchain, Innovation, and the New Geopolitics of Digital Finance"

1 - 4 December 2025

The EU Winter School is organised by the European Young Cell Alumni Kosovo in cooperation with the Young Cell Scheme (Rounds XIII, XIV and XV) project and the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”.

The accelerating convergence of FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain is transforming the global economy. From Silicon Valley to Brussels to Pristina, these technologies are reshaping financial systems, trade flows, and governance structures. The rise of digital currencies, AI-driven financial services, and data-based decision-making not only changes how economies operate but also redefines questions of sovereignty, regulation, and power. The Winter School aims to equip young scholars and future policymakers with the knowledge to understand and navigate the region’s digital transformation. Participants will explore how digital technologies are reshaping the Western Balkans’ economies and how Kosovo can position itself within the evolving European and global digital landscape.

As the EU advances its Digital Finance Strategy and Data Economy Agenda, FinTech emerges as a key driver of economic diversification, regional cooperation, and youth entrepreneurship, while raising important regulatory and ethical challenges.

Over four days, international experts, government officials, business leaders, innovators, and Young Cell Scheme alumni will lead lectures, panels, and team activities that foster discussion, debate, and networking. All participants who complete the EU Winter School 2025 will receive an attendance certificate.
