Festival of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Communities

On the 7th and 8th of September, a significant event took place at Ibrahim Rugova Square in the heart of Prishtina – the Festival of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Communities.

The YCS team was there to hand out flyers about the Young Cell Scheme, the EU's postgraduate scholarship programme for Kosovo!

We were honored to have the presence of Kosovo Assembly Speaker, Mr. Glauk Konjufca, who extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests.

During our time there, we had the privilege of meeting Mr. Isak Skenderi, who played a pivotal role in organizing the festival.

Additionally, we had enlightening discussions with the Chiefs of Communities from Gjakova and Rahovec, as well as representatives from the NGO "VORAE" (Voice of Roma Ashkali and Egyptians).

A special mention goes to Njomza, the Assistant of Mr. Skenderi, who expressed the willingness to support us in the future to encourage the communities to apply for Round XIV.

We look forward to more collaborations and meaningful connections in our shared mission!
